What Echo is

Echo is a journaling and self-reflection tool. It uses AI to respond to your entries and help you notice patterns in your thinking and mood over time.

Echo is not a mental health service, therapy platform, or medical tool. Echo's AI responses are not professional advice of any kind. If you're in crisis or need mental health support, please contact a qualified professional or a crisis helpline.

Who can use Echo

You must be at least 16 years old to use Echo. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Your content

You own the content you write in Echo. We don't claim any rights to your journal entries.

You're responsible for what you write. Don't use Echo to store or share content that is illegal, violates others' rights, or is intended to harm. We reserve the right to terminate accounts engaged in abuse, spam, or illegal activity.

Subscriptions and billing

Echo offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (Plus and Pro). Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future charges — your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.

We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you're having billing issues, contact us at hello@echo.so and we'll sort it out.

Service availability

Echo is currently in beta. We're working hard to keep it stable, but we can't guarantee uptime, and things may occasionally break.

Echo is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of data or damages arising from use of the service.

Account termination

You can delete your account at any time by contacting hello@echo.so. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, or are found to be using the service in ways that harm others.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or in-app. Continued use of Echo after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be handled under Dutch jurisdiction, with Den Haag as the place of jurisdiction.
